Andrea Saul, spokesperson for the Romney campaign, released the following statement earlier today:
We know we have agreed on moderators for all four presidential and vice presidential debates, but we now believe the selection is unfair. This is the first and only time Mitt Romney has changed his mind, so we do not make this statement lightly. But we do not feel that these so-called moderators, whose anti-Republican bias is clear from their names, represent the full span of American ideologies.
The first debate is set to be hosted by Jim Lehrer, former host of NewsHour on the Communist Party organ, PBS. His choice to allow equal time to all candidates in every one of the eleven debates in which he has participated is biased and unacceptable.
Not only is the proposed host of the vice presidential debate, Martha Raddatz, a woman, but she also works for the unapologetically unpatriotic American Broadcasting Company.
Bob Schieffer, who in the Republican primary debate dared to ask if Michelle Bachmann of members of the consistently reasonable Tea Party movement were willing to compromise, will return to spread his dirty, liberal lies in the second presidential debate.
The final “moderator,” Candy Crowley, besides being a female, has been brainwashed by her peers at the irredeemably biased CNN to spout Democratic propaganda. If the rumors that she is a practicing vegetarian and meditator are true, we demand her immediate resignation and public policy for her blatantly partisan actions.
We are not about criticizing ideas without bringing our own. Here are a few possibilities out of the horde of potential fair and balanced journalists to conserve the debates:
